National Hearing Services

National Hearing Services provide hearing aids nationwide. As part of an online marketing project, we developed a web based lead tracking database. The database was designed to link the company's rapidly growing sales team who are based in a number of different geographical locations. The system includes an integrated postcode lookup function to reduce both the amount of information the customer needs to supply and the workload of the staff.

When visitors complete an enquiry form on any the company's websites the leads are sent to the central lead database where they can be managed and assigned to the sales team by an administrator. Each member of the sales team can login to the system to view, edit and add additional information to the leads that they have been assigned. The database manages customer relationship management (CRM) for the whole sales cycle, keeping history of a customer from initial lead to storing post sales patient information.

The database has helped National Hearing Services organise the way they deal with leads and also enables managers to track the progress of their sales team from any location.

Overall the database has reduced the amount of time each member of staff spends on administration allowing them to focus on the core tasks of their role and has allowed a geographically spread team to work as a closer unit.

The Bike Insurer

The Bike Insurer is the only motorbike insurance comparison site in the UK. After many months trading The Bike Insurer had accumulated data about their existing customers. They wanted to use this data to expand their customer base and begin a comprehensive direct marketing campaign. We developed a web based email marketing tool that they could use to compose emails, select data criteria, manage unsubscribe requests and send email broadcasts. Our email broadcast tool now helps The Bike Insurer to create and send broadcasts in a short time frame, providing them the ability to keep their customers updated with breaking news and information.

The second phase of the project involved creating a tool that would organise the data The Bike Insurer stored so they could target their broadcasts to increase their conversion rates. For example they may want to send a reminder email to everyone who needs to renew their insurance in August and owned a Honda motorcycle; in this case they would only want to contact people who were actually due to renew in August and owned a Honda motorbike, so they would need to filter their data before sending the broadcast.

Due to the amount of data they have this could be a very time consuming process if performed manually. We built a tool to do this quickly and accurately. The tool allows The Bike Insurer to filter their data on a wide range of filters and create a file that can be uploaded to the email broadcast tool.

Bepos Stock Control

Bepos is web based point of sale software designed specifically for clothes shops. Bepos can be run from any windows computer and will generate and print barcodes, manage stock levels, perform in store sales and web sales and manage customer information. It provides the ability to easily check stock levels, transfer stock between stores and perform most major functions required for stock control in a busy store including refunds, credit notes etc. Bepos allows shops to link tills at different locations in real time and also offers seamless integration with ecommerce sites - if an item is sold in any of their shops or website it is immediately removed from the stock list.

Housing Company, Liverpool

Our client for this project is a housing and support association with over 200 locations nationwide. Our consultants developed an Intranet based Key Performance Indicator database to collect and manage the data from the remote locations. The administration module allows the clients head office team to dynamically create the key performance indicators that the offices need to report on as well as manage users and offices. This allows the company to gather any financial or other useful information about the business in a matter of hours if required.

The database has a user friendly web based interface that allows each office to report their monthly Key Performance data to their head office. The data is collated and reports are created for head office users to report to stakeholders.

Wincrypt

Wincrypt is an award winning encryption application that received accolades from all over the world. Wincrypt is a piece of windows software that was designed to take a complex technology and make it simple for people to use in a non-technical way.

Wincrypt allowed anyone to apply military strength encryption to files on folders on their local computer, CDs, DVDs or any other removable media (USB drives etc). This would prevent unauthorised people from viewing confidential files. Once encrypted Wincrypt files could also be e-mailed to other users without the need for any special software to be installed on their computers.

Extranet Task Allocation System

We designed and developed a web based system aimed at helping geographically distributed teams to work more closely. The system records and manages tasks and groups them into projects and programmes as well as grouping by team and client. It allows users to manage and track their daily tasks, find out latest company news, share documents and find contact details of other members of team / company.

The task tracking part of the system records the hours worked for each customer and project for billing purposes and also allows developers to submit activity reports at the end of each day to their managers.
